Assassinate The Following (Friends Of Metal Blade Records)
http://www.myspace.com/
This band has a wide range of influences that combine their own sound of razor sharp progressive metal. Taking after such bands as Protest The Hero, Between The Buried And Me, Dream Theater, The Faceless, and many more, the band has put together their own unique style of music. In August 2007 the band recorded their debut self-titled EP at Spectre Sound. Feeling accomplished and successful with what they managed to produce, they headed back to the studio in April 2009 to produce their first full-length Massacre of the North.
STARRING JANET LEIGH (Iron Clad / Metal Blade Records)

Starring Janet Leigh has recruited ex- "#12 Looks Like You" drummer Jon Karel.
Karel had this to say about joining SJL, "As a long time lover of Canadian death metal, I'm honored to be invited into Starring Janet Leigh. With such a high caliber of dedication and musicianship, I'll have no problem exploring and expanding my potential as a drummer. Jon Karel + SJL Vs. the world!"
SJL guitarist Matt Zadkovich is equally excited about the new addition, "Starring Janet Leigh is thrilled to be working with Jon. We've all been big fans of his playing and the work he's done in the past, and I'm sure with Jon as part of the SJL arsenal, things are definitely going to step up a notch. Let the onslaught begin!"
AETERNAM (Metal Blade Records) - DISCIPLES OF THE UNSEEN OUT FEB. 16/10
http://www.myspace.com/
Formed in 2007 in Quebec City, AETERNAM has been preparing to unleash their own brand of epic death metal upon the world. Combining classic death metal songwriting with epic melodic soloing and middle-eastern influences, AETERNAM has fine-tuned its craft and made it into a perfect blend of brutality and melody. Their first studio release and Metal Blade Records debut, Disciples of the Unseen, was produced by mastermind JeF Fortin (Neuraxis, The Last Felony) and contains 10 tracks of pure intensity, crushing riffs, pounding bass lines, and brutal growls paving the way for epic solos, acoustic melodies, ambient keyboards and large vocal harmonies. Fans of Behemoth, Nile and Melechesh will most certainly find something about this band to enjoy.
BARN BURNER (Metal Blade Records) - BANGERS OUT FEB. 16/10
http://www.myspace.com/
From the metal loving city of Montreal comes one of the most killer riff machines this side of the 3 headed love child of Iron Maiden, Thin Lizzy and Fu Manchu. Barn Burner have been cruising around Canada over the past few years spreading their love of the riff, good times and are ready to spread their beard encrusted rock to the rest of the world.
BISON b.c. (Metal Blade Records) - DARK AGES OUT APRIL 13/10
http://www.myspace.com/
On BISON b.c.’s latest slab, Dark Ages, relentless touring - with the likes of Priestess, Baroness, 3 Inches Of Blood, and more - has fine tuned the band’s dedication to the riff to metallic perfection. Dark Ages breathes like a rabid animal that you’d find tied up in WINO’s backyard. It’s Flying V’s, analog perfection, loud & sludgy, played by hairy dudes in dirty denim jackets.
Titan (Friends of Metal Blade Records)
http://www.myspace.com/
TITAN perform with a precision and passion that set them apart from others in the genre and are renowned for their intensity and staunch DIY work ethic. This notoriety has garnered them a devout following throughout the greater Toronto area, across Canada and Europe. Playing alongside the likes of Buried Inside (Relapse), Cursed (Goodfellow/Deathwish records), Today Is The Day (Relapse records), Lords (Black Market Activities), and Planes Mistaken For Stars (Abacus/No Idea records), TITAN are no strangers to the stage and have toured the north eastern United States several times as well as eastern Canada.
