Q. Hey guys how’s it going?

Trevor: Pretty good in our camp.

Q. Can you tell us about Majesty how it’s going to seize the fans once the DVD is unleased?

Trevor: “Majesty” is the first ever DVD release by The Black Dahlia Murder. It’s 100% BDM made and endorsed. Fucking sick live footage of the band playing all over the map, ravenous fans, stupid backstage footage. Get to know your favorite rock and roll clowns.

Q. What inspired the band to strive for Pantera’s CD as their role model for Majesty

Trevor: The Pantera dvd was fun and something I have seen quite a few times over the years. Its always fun to see what they do to kill time and of course the awesome live permformances. A lot of dvds out there fall kinda flat in terms of substance… we just wanted to ignore what was going on with other bands dvd releases and do our own thing.

Q. What this DVD mean personally to Black Dahlia Murder’s accomplishments?

Trevor: I think it’s a cool testament of how much we have accomplished. I never imagined we’d have fans in the first place, let alone enough of them to warrant four albums and a DVD.

Q. What kind of wild or side-splitting humorous peeks can we expect to see lie in the bands tour antics?

Trevor: It’s basically one long stoner dick and fart joke in slow motion.

Q. Can you elaborate on the angry Hot Dog Vendors mentioned in your Majesty teaser?

Trevor: Some guys just want to earn an honest living without you trying to meddle in their business.

Q. Where on location are the featured live interviews, and were they completed on the Summer Slaughter Tour?

Trevor: The interview segments that are entwined throughout the feature were shot at Brian’s house by Robbie T.

Q. Will there be any live video coverage of the band’s recording studio sessions included in Majesty?

Trevor: No… the footage pretty much ends when we get Ryan Knight. He’ll be in our next footage, for sure.

Q. How about behind the scene’s footage while setting up the stage at concerts?

Trevor: There’s a little bit of this kind of shit. The band just joking around with Woody at soundcheck and some bits of Brian and Paddy (European guitar tech extraordinaire) changing strings.

Q. How long has Robbie Tassaro known the band mates and is he the main video and photographer of Black Dahlia Murder?

Trevor: We’ve known Robbie since 2005… he was along on the Sounds Of The Underground tour to shoot the bands for a DVD. He ended up following us a lot of the time on our drunken adventures throughout the summer… that’s how we met. He’s a really funny guy. We knew he’d be on the level to bring this kind of thing into fruition in a way that would be honest and really show the unique bond that I have with my bandmates. I think that it’s different and its pretty fucking cool.

Q. Who did the awesome Artwork for Majestys cover?

Trevor: Joe Petagno did it. He is indeed amazing. He’s done work on some killer albums. The Diabolic and Unlord records come to mind of some of my favorites. Was cool to learn that he’s somewhat of a fan of the band… was a big honor. I wanted to stick with the old school death metal artwork that we laid down on Nocturnal. I am a huge fan of all of the old greats of death metal art.

Q. Is this the same Artist that designs Black Dahlia Murders Merchandise?

www.indiemerchstore.com/blackdahliamurder

Trevor: No but I’d like to do more shirts with this old school feel. We have a vast array of designers that we use… its amazingly competitive out there as far as staying current with the look of your merch. It’s a never ending battle.

Q. Will the band be covering behind the scenes and live concert footage while on the Metal Mayhemfest for 2009?

Trevor: Nah we don’t have plans to do anything like that, just to go out there and kick everyones asses.

Q. I’m curious about the bands goals for 2009 is the emphasis going to be on The Rockstar Energy Drink Metal Mayhem Festival Tour and promoting Majesty or does the band have any new material in the works for 2009?

Trevor: We’ll be pumping the new DVD pretty hard over the summer, but we will have a new album out this Fall. I’m pretty sure it’ll be early September. We’re actually in the process of mixing the album right now in Sanford, Florida.

Q. Before we wrap up our interview does the band have any shout outs to fans and friends?

Trevor: I encourage the fans to check out our DVD. It is our gift to you for your continued loyalty.

I want to thank Black Dahlia Murder and Metal Blade Records for this interview opportunity. Horns High You Rock . HMTV Canada

Trevor: Thank you very much!
